Alexander Street Press is offering free access to it's Jazz Music Library database from now until June 30th. If you love jazz music, take a look at over 1,964 albums and 19,022 tracks at http://jazz.alexanderstreet.com When asked for a username and password, just type in jazzlibrary and jitterbug.

We've just added U. S. Government Online to our collection of databases. It's designed to facilitate the study of the structure, function, and history of the U.S. government. Some features are:

Apache Optical Open House!
Apache Optical is having it's open house from 1:00 to 4:00 on Monday, Feb. 9th. Come join in the fun and register for door prizes. There'll be hundreds of frames on display, and while you're at it, check out the neat TJC sunglasses! You'll find all the excitement on the second floor of the library.

Computer Lab Closed Feb. 9-13!
We're sorry for the inconvenience, but the library's computer lab (VERC) will be in use by TJC faculty Monday through Friday of next week (Feb. 9-13). It will be closed for student use from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, but open for students between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. For computer access during the day, please go to lab T-315 in the Pirtle Technology building.

Due to impending inclement weather, TJC has cancelled classes for this Tuesday evening and is closing down the campus. The library is also being closed. Students, faculty, and staff should check with local news media, the TJC website News, or the TJC Weather Line at 903-510-3000 for decisions regarding classes on Wednesday.

Welcome to all students, new and returning! This is going to be a busy semester, so be sure to stop in the library and ask how we can help you. Stop by and see the changes we've made while you were on Christmas break! Meet our friendly library staff and experience our relaxed atmosphere. Take advantage of our 25 cent coffee and hot tea. Grab a snack or drink from the vending machines as you sink down into one of the soft leather chairs with your notebook computer. We are wireless, so you can sit anywhere. We also have special seating around the railing on the second floor for students with laptop computers.
